The effects of hippotherapy within the comprehensive rehabilitation of people with disabilities

Abstract:

V teoretické části této práce se věnuji popisu a vysvětlení několika důležitých pojmů vztahující se k ucelené rehabilitaci, hipoterapii ve všech jejich oblastech a stručnému přehledu diagnóz vhodných k této formě rehabilitace. Vymezuji je pro přehlednost a zasvěcení do problematiky, kterou se dále zabývám v praktické části diplomové práce. Zde stanovuji dva základní cíle, a to zjistit faktické účinky již pouze hipoterapie a porovnat je z hlediska pohlaví a srovnat s účinky uváděných literaturou, dále zjistit zda a jaké rozdíly existují v provádění hipoterapie v různých střediscích na Ostravsku a jejich tendence k ucelenému přístupu, z nichž vychází několik výzkumných otázek. Pro jejich prozkoumání jsem si zvolila kvalitativní přístup, konkrétně metodu případových studií. Po vyhodnocení a interpretaci následuje také kapitola Diskuse, kde své výsledky uvádím do kontextu jak s literaturou, tak také s osobně poznanou realitou ve střediscích zabývajících se touto problematikou. Skrytým cílem mé snahy je přispění k vyšší míře spokojenosti klientů prostřednictvím větší informovanosti a kvalitě středisek a jejich práce.

Abstract:

In the theoretical part of this work is devoted to description and explanation of several important concepts related to comprehensive rehabilitation, hippotherapy, in all their areas and a brief summary of diagnoses appropriate for this form of rehabilitation. Defines them for clarity and dedication to issues that are also considered in the practical part. Here, I establish two main objectives, namely to determine the actual effects of hippotherapy and has only to compare them in terms of gender and compared with those reported in literature, to determine whether and what differences exist in the implementation of hippotherapy in different centers in the Ostrava and the tendency for a holistic approach, from which is based on several research questions. For the examination, I chose a qualitative approach, namely the method of case studies. After evaluation and interpretation followed by a discussion section, where I present my results in the context of both the literature and also with personal knowledge of reality in the centers dealing with this issue. Hidden objective of my efforts are contributing to higher customer satisfaction through greater awareness and the quality of centers and their work.
