The usage and variability of peperomia from the range of Peperomia magnoliifolia

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá rešerší literárních pramenů a studiem rodu Peperomia. Hlavní pozornost je věnována druhům z podrodu Rhynchophorum, se zaměřením na peperomie z okruhu Peperomia magnoliifolia. V práci jsou popsány poznatky o morfologicko-anatomické stavbě, původu, taxonomii a pěstování sledovaných peperomií. Důraz byl kladen zejména na variabilitu a využití těchto rostlin. Na základě rozmanitosti peperomií, byly studovány znaky, které jsou pro tyto rostliny společné, a také znaky, které mohou jednotlivé druhy a formy peperomií odlišovat. Největší důraz byl kladen na morfologické odlišnosti peckovic. Na Botanické zahradě Ostravské univerzity proběhlo řízkování matečních rostlin, determinace jednotlivých kultivarů a fotodokumentace plodů peperomií. Součástí práce bylo také posoudit sortiment druhů pepřinců v obchodní síti.

Abstract:

Thesis deals with the review of literature of the genus Peperomia. The main attention is paid to the species of subgenus Rhynchophorum, focusing on peperomias from the range of Peperomia magnoliifolia. In thesis there are described pieces of knowledge about the morphologic-anatomical structure, origin, taxonomy and cultivation of peperomias. Emphasis was placed mainly on the variability and the use of these plants. On the basis of diversity of these plants, were studied signs, which are similar to these plants, and signs that can distinguish these particular plants. The greatest emphasis was placed on the morphological differences of their fruits. At the Botanical garden of University of Ostrava, the cuttings from mother plants, determination of cultivars and photographs of peperomias was taken place. The thesis also comprises ascertaining of assortment of particular peperomias in the trade network.
