Genre story in Rovnost newspaper before the year 1989

Abstract:

Tato práce se zaměřuje na žánr story v deníku Rovnost před rokem 1989. Jejím cílem je prokázat skutečnost, že tyto noviny žánr znaly a využívaly mnohem dříve, než čeští mediální vědci uvádějí, že se v naší zemi objevil. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a výzkumnou. V první části se věnuje vymezení žánru story, jeho druhům a znakům. Z důvodů malého množství odborné literatury pocházející z českého vědeckého prostředí je tato část vypracovaná na základě faktů z cizojazyčných knih, hlavně od autorů britských a amerických. Během výzkumu je pak kvalitativními metodami dokazována jeho přítomnost právě v daných novinách. Na jeho konci je čtenář seznámen s podobou story ve zkoumaném období a s jeho typickým hrdinou.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on genre feature in Brno newspaper Rovnost before the year 1989. It’s aim is to prove, that this newspaper knew and used the genre much earlier, than it is written by czech medial scientist. The work is divided into theoretical part and the research. In the first part we defines the genre, its types and characters. Because of the low number of professional literature from the Czech scientific background, this part is based on the foreign professional books, especially from British and American authors. Presence of the genre is proving during the research, where the qualitative methods are used. At the end of the work, the reader is familiared with the form of the genre in the analysed time and with the typical heroe, which is used in it.
