The influence of the selected mode of display on radiation burden during the angiographic examination

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o změně dávky čili radiačního zatížení pacienta v závislosti na zvolení zobrazovacího modu. V teoretické části se práce zaměřuje hlavně na fyzikální část problematiky. Nalezneme zde vysvětlení elektomagnetismu a záření, pojednání o rentgenovém záření a jeho detekci a absorpci. V dalších částech je pak popis dozimetrie a jednotlivých druhů dozimetrů, biologických účinků záření na organismu, a nakonec zde nalezneme popis angiografie jednotlivých typů, popis angiografického sálu a jeho vybavení a také základních výkonů prováděných při angiografii. V praktické části se práce zabývá zobrazovacím systémem GE Innova a protokolů pro export dávky, dále pak měřením dávek a jejich změnu v jednotlivých modech zvlášť pro skiaskopii a zvlášť pro expozici. V další časti se nachází srovnání měřeného fantomu spolu s reálným pacientem. Dále také data o dávce, skiaskopickém času, věku, pohlaví a výkonech v definovaných oblastí za rok 2016. Nakonec je v práci umístěna aplikace v MS excel, která automaticky po zadání dávky v aktuálním modu přepočítá dávku na ostatní zobrazovací mody.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the change in the dose or the radiation load of the patient depending on the choice of the imaging mode. In the theoretical part, the thesis focuses mainly on the physical part of the problem. Here we will find an explanation of electromagnetism and radiation, a discussion of X-rays and their detection and absorption. In the next parts are described dosimetry and individual types of dosimeters, biological effects of radiation on the organism, and finally there is description of angiography of individual types, description of the angiographic hall and its equipment as well as basic performances performed in angiography. The practical part of the thesis deals with the GE Innova imaging system and the export batch protocols, as well as measuring doses and changing them in individual regimes separately for skiascopy and especially for exposure. In the next section there is a comparison of the measured phantom with the real patient. In addition, the statistics for batch, skewed time, age, gender and performance in defined areas for 2016 are listed. Finally, an application in MS Excel is placed, which automatically adds a batch to other display modes after adding a batch in the current mode.
