Escapism and its artistic didactic transformation in the medium of drawing

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce bylo vytvoření velkoformátového diptychu reflektující téma eskapismu, tedy lidské tendence unikat před skutečností do fikčních světů. Technikou kresby a akvarelu jsou ilustrovány fragmenty tvořící autorčinu verzi reality, připomínající ve výsledku kreslenou koláž. Teoretická část konkretizuje samotný pojem eskapismu a jeho provázanost se světem umění a kultury. Dále se zabývá médiem kresby a mapuje převládající tendence umělců zaměřujících se na tuto techniku v 21. století. Praktická část vysvětluje výběr tématu, techniky, provází procesem tvorby a popisuje vliv inspiračních autorů či kontext umělců sdílející podobné strategie s výsledným artefaktem. Pedagogický přesah popisuje transformaci klíčových témat díla do výtvarného zadání, které je realizováno a jeho průběh reflektován. Soustředí se především na pojmy jako kresba, koláž, změna kontextu a jeho vliv na význam díla.

Abstract:

The main aim of this thesis is to create a large format of diptych reflecting the escapism that is defined as the human tendency to escape from the real world to the safety of fantasy worlds. The fragments which are composing the author's version of reality are illustrated by drawing and watercolour painting with the entire work resembling a collage as a result. The theoretical part specifies the concept of escapism and its interdependence with the world of art and culture. It also deals with the media of drawing and charts the prevailing tendencies of artists focusing on the technique in the 21st century. The practical part reflects the chosen topic and technique which accompanies the process of creation and describes the influence of inspirational authors or the context of artist sharing similar strategies of artefact as a result. The pedagogical overlap describes the transformation of key pieces of work into the art assignment, which is realised, and his progress is reflected. This is primarily focused by concepts such as drawing, collage, transformation of context and its influence at sense of piece of work.
