The influence of television on the mental development of a pre- school aged child

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivem televize na psychický vývoj dítěte předškolního věku. Cílem práce je nastínit tuto problematiku z několika různých aspektů pro komplexní pochopení výše uvedené oblasti. V teoretické části je nahlíženo na téma z několika důležitých hledisek mezi něž patří např. vliv televize na integraci dítěte, verbální schopnosti a tvořivost dítěte nebo vliv televize na inteligenci dítěte. Dále je zde polemika nad často diskutovanou otázkou obsahu násilí v televizním vysílání a jeho dopadu na děti. Neoddělitelnou součástí televizního vysílání jsou reklamní spoty, které nepochybně ovlivňují dětskou psychiku, a tak i tento aspekt je zahrnut v této práci. V praktické části je zpracována analýza dotazníku předložených reprezentativnímu vzorku dětských respondentů. V neposlední řadě tato práce popisuje aktuální legislativní úpravu televizního vysílání a regulace reklamy, včetně příkladu z praxe.

Abstract:

This bachelors essay deals with the influence of television on the mental development of a pre school aged child . The aim of this work is to analyze this problem from several different points of view in order to achieve sufficient information about this issue. In the theoretical part of my work there will be seen on this issue from several important angles, such as the influence of television on the integration , verbal abilities and creativity of the child and the influence of television on the intelligence of the child. Another closely related topic is violence in telecasting and its impact on children. Advertisements are an inseparable part of telecasting, which undoubtedly affect the child’s psyche. The practical part of this paper is a detailed analysis of a questionnaire which was given to a representative sample of children. This work also describes the actual legislative adjustment of telecasting and the regulation of advertising, including examples of work experience.
