Abstract:
The bachelor’s thesis focuses on the virtual currency Bitcoin as a new technology in the banking sector. The theoretical part contemplates the theory of the origin and development of cryptography as a whole and the definition of a virtual currency, focusing on Bitcoin, its history, legislation, analysis of Bitcoin as an alternative payment system.
