Perceptions of tattooing among young adults in the Czech Republic: a five - year retrospective of tattoo center clients.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá změnami v postojích k tetování mezi mladými dospělými v České republice, kteří mají první tetování alespoň pět let. Práce se zaměřuje na historický vývoj tetování, jeho kulturní a sociální aspekty, a zkoumá, jak se vnímání tetování mezi touto skupinou lidí vyvíjelo v průběhu času. Analyzuje také stigma spojené s tetováním a jeho vliv na individuální a společenskou identitu. Výsledky práce nabízejí hlubší porozumění tetování jako formě uměleckého vyjádření a sociálního fenoménu, odrážejíce jeho dynamický charakter v moderní české společnosti.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with changes in attitudes towards tattoos among young adults in the Czech Republic who have had their first tattoo at least five years ago. The thesis focuses on the historical development of tattooing, its cultural and social aspects, and examines how the perception of tattoos among this group of people has evolved over time. It also analyses the stigma associated with tattooing and its impact on individual and social identity. The results offer a deeper understanding of tattooing as a form of artistic expression and social phenomenon, reflecting its dynamic nature in modern Czech society.
