Private equity investment strategy in the Czech market

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá komplexní analýzou private equity prostředí v České republice s cílem nalezení potenciálně optimální rizikově vyvážené investiční strategie. Analýza je provedena ze dvou úhlů pohledu. Prvním pohledem je analýza lokální investiční aktivity a lokálně působících private equity investorů s ohledem na jejich investiční strategie. Druhým pohledem je analýza české podnikové sféry za účelem nalezení optimální investiční strategie zaměřené na konkrétní podnikové segmenty. Na závěr diplomové práce je provedena ilustrativní leveraged buy-out analýza vybrané společnosti, jež odpovídá zvolené investiční strategii.

Abstract:

The subject of the diploma thesis is a comprehensive analysis of the private equity environment in the Czech Republic with the aim of finding a potentially optimal risk-balanced investment strategy. The analysis is carried out from two points of view. The first point of view is an analysis of local private equity investment activity and of locally operating private equity investors with emphasis on their approach to investment strategy. The second point of view is an analysis of Czech business sector in pursuit of finding an optimal investment strategy with focus on specific business segments. At the end of the diploma thesis, an illustrative leveraged buy-out analysis of a chosen company is carried out in accordance with the chosen investment strategy.
