Acronyms and abbreviations in the French advertisement and its utilization in the teaching of the FLE

Abstract:

This thesis deals with abbreviations and acronyms in the French advertisement and the use of the advertisement in the teaching of French. Its goal is both linguistic and didactic. It is divided into two main parts. The first part focuses on the broader context of French abbreviations and acronyms and on the comparison of these elements in Czech and English. There is also a linguistic analysis of the various promotional materials and their content. At the end, the most commonly used abbreviations are summarized and divided into several groups. The second part deals with the pedagogical use of the French advertisement in the class. It was created 10 model activities based on promotional materials that are designed for students of Czech high schools.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá zkratkami a zkratkovými slovy ve francouzské reklamě a využitím této reklamy ve výuce francouzštiny. Její cil je zároveň lingvistický a didaktický. Je rozdělena na dvě hlavní části. První část je zaměřena na širší kontext francouzských zkratek a zkratkových slov a jejich srovnání těmito elementy v českém a anglickém jazyce. Dále se zde nachází lingvistická analýza jednotlivých reklamních materiálů a jejich obsahu. Na jejím konci jsou shrnuty nejpoužívanější zkratky, které jsou rozdělené do několika skupin. Druhá část se zabývá pedagogickým využitím francouzské reklamy ve výuce. Na základě reklamních materiálů je vytvořeno 10 ukázkových aktivit, které jsou určeny pro studenty českých středních škol.
