Training and Education of Police Members in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na systém a možnosti vzdělávání příslušníků Policie České republiky. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část praktickou. Teoretická část obsahuje celkem 4 kapitoly, které se dále člení na podkapitoly. První kapitola se zabývá vzděláváním dospělých obecně. Druhá kapitola se orientuje na činnost Policie České republiky včetně její stručné historie. Je stručně popsána organizace Policie ČR, její úkoly, ale též přijímací řízení. Třetí kapitola, ta nejzásadnější, se věnuje samotnému vzdělávání příslušníků policie, kdy je popsán systém policejního vzdělávání a základní odborná příprava. Poslední kapitola se věnuje organizacím, které se podílejí na vzdělávání příslušníků Policie České republiky. Praktická část je orientována na dotazníkové šetření, které je určené pro příslušníky Policie České republiky, a na základě kterého jsou vyvozeny závěry, zda je současný systém vzdělávání dostačující, či nikoli.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the system of the Police of the Czech Republic and the training options of its members. The bachelor thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part contains four chapters, further divided into subsections. The first chapter deals with adult education in general. The second chapter focuses on the activities of the Police of the Czech Republic, including its brief history. The organization of the Police of the Czech Republic, its tasks and also the recruitment process are briefly described. The third chapter, the most fundamental one, is devoted to the education of police officers themself, describing the system of police education and basic professional training. The last chapter is devoted to organizations that participate in training members of the Police of the Czech Republic. The practical part is oriented towards a questionnaire survey, which is intended for members of the Police of the Czech Republic and based on which conclusions are drawn as to whether the current education system is sufficient or not.
