Well-being in Elderly Hospitalized People

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na osobní pohodu (tzv. well-being) seniorů hospitalizovaných v nemocničním zařízení. V teoretické části je pozornost věnována oblasti stárnutí, stáří, hospitalizaci, potřebám seniora a náležitostem, které je potřeba si uvědomit při péči o geriatrického pacienta, oblasti well-being a související kvality života. Praktická část se zabývá vyhodnocením výsledků výzkumu realizovaného na oddělení Centra klinické gerontologie ve vybrané nemocnici zlínského kraje. Hlavním cílem bylo porozumět prožívání osobní pohody (well-being) hospitalizovaných seniorů. Výzkum byl proveden u tří participantů kvalitativní metodou formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis focuses on the personal well-being (so-called well-being) of seniors hospitalized in a hospital. In the theoretical part, the attention is paid domain of aging, old age, hospitalization, senior needs and essentials that need to be aware of when caring for the geriatric patient, domain of well-being and related quality of life. The practical part deals with the evaluation of research results realized in a geriatric ward in selected hospital in the Zlín region, the main goal was to understand the personal well-being of hospitalized seniors. The research was conducted with three participants using a qualitative method in the form of semi-structured interviews.
