The Problem of Heroism and Antiheroism in Czech Postwar Prose (Egon Bondy and Jan Křesadlo)

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá literární postavou hlavního hrdiny a jeho vývojem od hrdinství až k antihrdinství na příkladu autorů Jana Křesadla a Egona Bondyho. V teoretické části práce je jasně definován pojem hrdinství a cesta mytického literárního hrdiny až k neutrální literární postavě dneška. Zároveň jsou obsáhle popsána východiska literatury socialistického realismu, konkrétně budovatelského románu, jejichž reakcí je vznik literárního antihrdiny, nebo nehrdiny. V druhé části jsou analyzována konkrétní literární díla výše zmíněných autorů s důrazem na rekonstrukci literárního hrdiny z textu.

Abstract:

This work deals with the literary figure of the hero and his evolution from heroism to antiheroism in the example of Egon Bondy and Jan Křesadlo. In the theoretical part is clearly defined the concept of heroism and journey of mythical literary hero to neutral literary figure of today. There are also extensively described literature basis of socialist realism, namely constructive novel, which reaction is the formation of a literary anti-hero. The second part analyzes specific literary works of these authors, with an emphasis on the reconstruction of the literary hero from the text.
