Price discrimination in the market in Azerbaijan

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the issue of price discrimination and its effects on Azerbaijan. The author investigates the key theoretical aspects related to price discrimination, and reveals the key specificities of the different types of price discrimination. On the example of Azerbaijan, it is revealed how state authorities may implement reforms in different field of economy, and namely in the context of anti-monopoly activities. Based on case study, the author identifies the major issues and risks incurred by Azerbaijan in the context of the existing structure of competition in the country’s domestic market, and provides recommendations for the Azerbaijani authorities to eliminate the unlawful price competition practices in the state.
