Diminuitive Sacral Monuments, their Renovation and Functions in the Contemporary Landscape

Abstract:

Tématem práce jsou motivace lidí k obnově nebo výstavbě drobné sakrální architektury. První část pojednává o historii, významech a funkcích drobných sakrálních objektů, zasazuje téma do environmentálního kontextu a poukazuje na nebývalé množství regionálních publikací vztahujících se k tématu, které byly vydány v posledních letech. Druhá část prezentuje výpovědi sedmi respondentů, kteří se aktivitami obnovy či výstavby drobných sakrálních staveb zabývají. Výpovědi byly získány v kvalitativním výzkumu a získané informace jsou tedy prezentovány v širších souvislostech. Motivací respondentů k obnově/výstavbě drobné sakrální architektury je zejména jimi připsaná hodnota staveb jako památek, úcta k odkazu předků a vnímání jejich náboženské roviny. Obnovené/vytvořené stavby plní téměř všechny Nuskem definované funkce. I přesto, že některé obnovené stavby plní také environmentální funkci, sami respondenti ji nevnímají.

Abstract:

The motivations to renovation or building small sacred architecture are the topic of this text. First part speaks about history, meanings and funktions of the small sacred monuments and it reflects the topic in the environmental context. It shows aswell a lot of regional publications which have respect to the topic and which were published in the last time. Second part of the paper presents notice of seven informants which are engaged in renovation or building small sacred architecture. The notice were get in qualitative research and obtained data are presenting in wide context. The motivations of informants to renovation/building small sacred architecture is the value atributted by the informants such a historicall monuments, respect to testament of grandfathers or reception of sacred value. Renovated/rebuilt objects fulfil nearly all funkctions defined by Nusek. Though some buildings fulfil environmental funkction, the informants do not reflect it.
