Influence of the charge air temperature on the performance parameters of the diesel engine

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o problematice přeplňovaných vznětových motorů. Začátkem je popis motoru obecně a následně motoru přeplňovaného, doplněný diagramy. Pozornost jsem věnoval zejména vlastnostem vzduchu při změně vlhkosti, teploty a tlaku. Následně bylo popsáno konstrukční řešení vznětového přeplňovaného motoru.Po sestavení metodiky měření následovalo měření výkonových parametrů vozu na válcové zkušebně nacházející se v areálu Mendelovi univerzity. Výsledky měření před a po úpravě chladiče spalovacího vzduchu byly zpracovány a vyhodnoceny.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with problems of supercharged diesel engines. In the beginning, the engine description is generally followed by a supercharged engine, complete with diagrams. Attention was paid mainly to the properties of charge air when changing humidity, temperature and pressure. Subsequently, the design of the supercharged diesel-engine was described.After the measurement methodology was completed, the performance measurements of the vehicle were realized on chassis dynamometer located at the Mendel University. The results of the measurements before and after the modification of the combustion air cooler were processed and evaluated.
