Automation of accounting document processing

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je popsat vybraný automatizovaný nástroj pro příjem, zpracování a uchování účetních dokladů a zhodnotit výsledek jeho implementace na vybraném účetním oddělení. Tento nástroj lze rozdělit na 2 části. První část zajišťuje na základě principu optického rozpoznávání znaků (OCR) konverzi dat z účetních dokladů do digitální podoby a umožnuje následnou práci s těmito daty. V druhé části potom v software s názvem Vendor Invoice Management dochází k samotnému účtování těchto dokladů. Hlavním přínosem tzv. e-invoicingu by měla být automatizace, harmonizace, a současné zvýšení efektivity jednotlivých dílčích účetních procesů.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the selected automated tool for receiving, processing and storing accounting documents and evaluate the result of its implementation in the selected accounting department. This tool can be divided into 2 parts. The first part ensures the conversion of data from accounting documents into digital form on the basis of the principle of optical character recognition (OCR) and enables subsequent work with this data. In the second part, in the software called Vendor Invoice Management, the actual accounting of these documents takes place. The main benefit of so-called e-invoicing should be automation, harmonization, and at the same time increase the efficiency of individual partial accounting processes.
