Cytokinins, a class of phytohormones involved in various aspects of plant growth and development, are also known to have diverse activities in animal models and humans. Cytokininy, fytohormony podílející se na růstu a vývoji rostlin, jsou také známy pro své různorodé účinky v živočiších. V této práci jsme se zaměřili na protektivní efekt cytokininových bází. Ty jsou dle dřívějších studií schopny například zpomalovat stárnutí lidských kožních buněk a octomilek a mají antioxidativní a neuroprotektivní účinky v in vitro a in vivo modelech.
