Occupational therapy as part of comprehensive spa care for children after brachial plexus palsy

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou paréz brachiálního plexu a možnosti léčby a následné rehabilitace v lázních. V teoretické části práce se dočtete o anatomii periferní nervové soustavy a anatomii brachiálního plexu. Dále jsou popsány příčiny poranění brachiálního plexu, incidence, mechanismus vzniku poranění a možnosti léčby. Ve speciální části se zaměřuji na lázně a na metody, které ergoterapeut může využít při rehabilitaci paréz brachiálního plexu. Hlavní část se týká anamnézy klientky a vstupního ergoterapeutického vyšetření, včetně kineziologického rozboru. Popisuji zde krátkodobý ergoterapeutický plán, práci s klientkou a dlouhodobý ergoterapeutický plán.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the brachial plexus palsy and possibilities of treatment and rehabilitation at the spa. In the theoretical part you gonna read about the anatomy of the peripheral nervous system and anatomy of the brachial plexus. The following describes the cause of brachial plexus injuries, incidence, mechanism of injury and treatment options. In the special part I am focusing on spa and methods whitch can occupational therapist use in the rehabilitation of brachial plexus palsy. The main part concerns about case history of the client and initial occupational therapy examination, including kinesiology analysis. Here I describe the short-term occupational therapy plan, work with the client and long-term occupational therapy plan.
