Criminal activity with racial and national overtones

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na vysvětlení pojmů týkajících se trestné činnosti, která je spjata s národnostním a rasovým podtextem. V teoretické části práce jsou vymezeny základní pojmy související s lidskou rasou, národem a trestnými činy z nenávisti. V této části je taktéž zmíněna terminologie extremismu, charakteristika pravicového extremismu, radikalismu a terorismu. Dále jsou popsány důležité pojmy jako xenofobie a rasismus. Teoretická část práce charakterizuje rasově motivované trestné činy, formy páchání, právní aspekty, prevenci, případy a stopy těchto trestných činů. Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit, zda se v Jihočeském kraji stupňují rasistické a xenofobní útoky v porovnání let 2022 a 2023. Prozkoumat, v jaké formě nejčastěji probíhají rasistické a xenofobní útoky vůči menšinám a dílčím cílem je posoudit, zda se jedinci jiné národnosti a rasy subjektivně cítí v Jihočeském kraji bezpečně. Ke zjištění dat byla využita kvantitativní metoda ve formě online dotazníkového šetření zaměřeného pouze na národnostní menšiny v Jihočeském kraji. V rámci praktické části práce nastalo vyhodnocení a interpretace dat prostřednictvím grafů, poté je prezentován celkový souhrn výsledků.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the explanation of concepts related to criminal activity, which is connected with national and racial subtext. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the basic terms related to the human race, nation and hate crimes are defined. This section also mentions the terminology of extremism, the characteristics of right-wing extremism, radicalism and terrorism. Furthermore, important terms such as xenophobia and racism are described. The theoretical part of the work characterizes racially motivated crimes, forms of perpetration, legal aspects, prevention, cases and traces of these crimes. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to find out whether racist and xenophobic attacks are escalating in the South Bohemian Region compared to the years 2022 and 2023. To investigate in what form racist and xenophobic attacks against minorities most often take place, and a partial aim is to assess whether individuals of other nationalities and races subjectively feel safe in the South Bohemian Region. A quantitative method in the form of an online questionnaire focused only on national minorities in the South Bohemian Region was used to obtain data. As part of the practical part of the work, there was an evaluation and interpretation of data through graphs, after which the overall summary of the results is presented.
