Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie przekładu literackiego, jego historii, rozwoju i pierwszych przetłumaczonych dzieł. Dalej mowa będzie o paru tłumaczach z różnych krajów, którzy tłumaczą polską i czeską literaturę. Zostanie też przedstawiona historia i rozwój przekładu literackiego w Polsce oraz Republice Czeskiej.
