Pregnancy and parturition of dual purpose and dairy cattle

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce na téma průběh gravidity a porodu skotu kombinovaného a mléčného typu je zaměřena především na obecnou reprodukci. V této práci jsou zahrnuty informace o pohlavních orgánech samic, reprodukčním a estrálním cyklu, detekci říje, inseminaci a možných metodách, březosti, diagnostice březosti a následném porodu. Dále se práce věnuje i dvěma nejznámějším chovaným plemenům skotu mléčného a kombinovaného typu. Zvláštní pozornost je v práci věnována úspěšnosti zabřezávání po inseminaci, průměrné délce gravidity, průběhu a obtížnosti porodů a počtu živě a mrtvě narozených telat. Tyto reprodukční ukazatele byly sledovány ve dvou chovech od ledna 2019 do konce ledna 2020. Byly sledovány všechny jalovice a dojnice, které zabřezly v prvních třech měsících roku 2019. Následně byly výsledky těchto reprodukčních ukazatelů shrnuty, zhodnoceny a srovnány ve vybraných zemědělských podnicích u kombinovaného a mléčného typu skotu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis on the topic of pregnancy and parturition of dual purpose and dairy cattle is focused mainly on general reproduction. The work includes female genitals, reproductive cycle, estrous cycle, detection of estrus, insemination and its methods, pregnancy, diagnosis of pregnancy and subsequent parturition. The work also deals with the two best-known breeds of dairy and dual purpose cattle. Special attention is paid to the success rate of insemination, the average length of pregnancy, the stages and difficulty of parturition and the number of liveborn and stillborn calves. These re-production indicators were monitored in two farms from January 2019 until the end of January 2020. All heifers and dairy cows that conceived in the first three months of 2019 were monitored. Subsequently, the results of these reproduction indicators were summarized, evaluated and compared in chosen farms in dual purpose and dairy cattle.
