The benefit of physiotherapeutic interventions in geriatric patients with Alzheimer's disease

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o vlivu fyzioterapeutických intervencí na celkový stav geriatrických pacientů s Alzheimerovou chorobou. Cílem této závěrečné práce bylo ověřit účinnost intervencí ve smyslu zlepšení stavu a samostatného provedení cviků. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V úvodu teoretické části je vysvětlen proces stárnutí a změny, ke kterým při tomto procesu dochází. Dále je podrobně popsána Alzheimerova choroba a syndrom demence, jejich léčba, klinické projevy a možnosti fyzioterapie. Praktická část zobrazuje formou kazuistik konkrétní případy účinnosti opakovaných intervencí na zlepšení celkového stavu pacienta s Alzheimerovou chorobou. K objektivnímu zhodnocení stavu byla použita stupnice svalového testu a SFTR metoda. Výsledky těchto měření zaznamenávají tabulky v praktické části práce.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the effect of physiotherapeutic interventions on the overall condition of geriatric patients with Alzheimer's disease. The aim of this final thesis was to verify the effectiveness of interventions in terms of improving the condition and independent implementation of exercises. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The introduction to the theoretical part explains the process of ageing and the changes that occur during this process. Alzheimer's disease and dementia syndrome, their treatment, clinical manifestations and possibilities of physiotherapy are also described in detail. The practical part shows, in the form of case studies, the specific cases of the effectiveness of repeated interventions to improve the overall condition of patients with Alzheimer's disease. The muscle test scale and the SFTR method were used to objectively assess the condition. The results of these measurements are recorded in tables in the practical part of the work.
