Evolution - information - reality

Abstract:

The thesis consists of three relatively individual parts with the evolutionary-ontological interpretation of reality as a unifying element. The first part, "Information And Evolutionary Ontology", presents fundamental bases, problems and aims of evolutionary ontology as a nonsubstantial ontological model of reality. It analyses principal categories of evolutionary ontology, especially the category of information, its structure and semantic aspect. Moreover, it focuses on evolutionary-ontological assumptions of evolutionary theory of knowledge, environmental ethics and non-anthropocentric axiology. We also attempt to answer questions of ontic creativity bounds by comparing human activity (the result of which is culture) and animal activity (resulting in protoculture). We draw attention to the objections of evolutionary ontology critics and we try to respond to them. In the second part of the thesis, named "Information And Abiotic Systems (ontologically physical intersection)", we consider mutual relations of substance, energy, information and singularities. At the same time, we reflect on the conception of information physics from the evolutionary ontology standpoint. The third part, "Evolution, Information And The Idea of Universal Darwinism", attempts to analyse the category of evolution (biotic and abiotic). We also critically reflect on the conception of Universal Darwinism as well as the R. Dawkins's conception of memetics.

Abstract:

Dizertačná práca sa skladá z troch relatívne samostatných častí, pričom jednotiacim prvkom je evolučnoontologická interpretácia skutočnosti. V prvej časti, nazvanej "Informácia a evolučná ontológia", predstavujeme základné východiská, problémy a ciele evolučnej ontológie ako nesubstančného ontologického modelu skutočnosti. Podrobnejšie analyzujeme hlavné kategórie evolučnej ontológie, najmä kategóriu informácie a jej štruktúrny a sémantický aspekt. Zaoberáme sa tiež evolučnontologickými predpokladmi evolučnej gnozeológie, environmentálnej etiky a neantropocentrickej axiológie. Komparáciou aktivity ľudskej (ktorej výsledkom je kultúra) a aktivity živočíšnej (ktorá vytvára tzv. protokultúru) hľadáme možné odpovede na otázky hraníc ontickej tvorivosti. V závere časti upozorňujeme na niektoré námietky kritikov evolučnej ontológie a reagujeme na ne. V druhej časti práce, nazvanej "Informácia a abiotické systémy (ontologicko-fyzikálne prieniky)", premýšľame nad vzájomnými vzťahmi látky, energie, informácie a singularít. Zároveň z pozícií evolučnej ontológie kriticky reflektujeme koncepciu tzv. informačnej fyziky T. Stoniera. V tretej časti práce, nazvanej "Evolúcia, informácia a myšlienka univerzálneho darvinizmu", sme sa pokúsili o analýzu kategórie evolúcie (biotickej i abiotickej). Kriticky sa tiež vyrovnávame s koncepciou tzv. univerzálneho darvinizmu, ako aj s koncepciou memetiky R. Dawkinsa.
