Valuation of Komerční banka, a.s.

Abstract:

Oceňování bank je čím dál více diskutovaným tématem, a to i z důvodu rostoucího počtu transakcí s bankami. Přitom postup ocenění a použité metody jsou podstatně odlišné od klasických metod, používaných v případě ostatních podniků. Cílem práce je tedy popsat tato specifika a ukázat na příkladu ocenění Komerční banky, a.s. samotný postup ocenění a aplikaci vybraných metod. V teoretické části bude uveden regulatorní rámec činnosti bank, druhy bankovních rizik a jednotlivé metody ocenění. V praktické části bude představena Komerční banka, a.s. a struktura její skupiny, poté bude následovat finanční a strategická analýzy, které poslouží jako základ pro sestavení finančního plánu. V závěru se stanoví diskontní míra na základě modelu CAPM a bude vypočítána hodnota oceňované banky.

Abstract:

Valuation of banks is very discutable theme nowadays, mostly because of the increasing number of transactions including banks. At the same time, process of valuation and utilized techniques are different comparing to classic methods used for valuation of other enterprises. The aim of this theses is to describe those specifics and show the valuation process on the example of valuation of Komerční banka, a.s. Theoretical part indicate the banking regulatory framework, types of banking risks and different methods of valuation. In the practical part chosen bank will be described as a part of the group, following by the financial and strategic analysis which will be considered as the basis of financial plan. At the end of the thesis the discount rate will be calculated based on model CAPM and the value of Komerční banka, a.s. will be determined.
