Effect of training intensity on orientation in maps in orienteering

Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo zjistit, zda intenzita zatížení ovlivňuje schopnost orientace v mapě v orientačním běhu. První část práce obsahuje teoretické poznatky týkající se determinantů sportovního výkonu a kognitivní procesy. Zároveň jsou tyto poznatky aplikovány do orientačního běhu. Ve druhé části práce je popsán výzkum. Cílem výzkumu bylo pokusit se dokázat, jestli intenzita zatížení skutečně ovlivňuje kognitivní procesy a snižuje schopnost orientace v mapě. Ve výsledku se schopnost orientace v mapě snížila při posledních 2. úkolů u 3 probandů ze 4.

Abstract:

The aim of the study was to determine whether the intensity of the load affects the ability to understand the map orienteering. The first part of the thesis contains theoretical knowledge about the determinants of sport performance and cognitive processes. At the same time, these findings are applied to orienteering. The second part describes the research. The goal of the research was to try to prove if the intensity of the load actually affects the cognitive processes and decreases the ability of orientation in the map. As a result, the ability to understand the map declined during the last 2 tasks in 3 probands out of 4.
