Invaze nepůvodních rostlin jsou v současné době jedním nejvýznamnějších faktorů ohrožujících biodiverzitu v globálním měřítku. Zajímavou možností regulace invazních druhů je biologická kontrola pomocí poloparazitických rostlin, které jsou schopné potlačit růst invazních jedinců a snížit jejich celkovou biomasu. Invasions of alien plants are currently one of the most important factors threatening biodiversity on a global svale.
