Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou velrybářství a zákazu lovu velryb ve světle rozsudku MSD ve věci Australia v. Japan: New Zealand intervening. První dvě části práce se věnují historii velrybářského průmyslu, Mezinárodní velrybářské komisi a Mezinárodní úmluvě o regulaci velrybářství. This diploma thesis deals with the phenomenom of whaling and the moratorium on commercial whaling in the light of the ICJ judgment in the case Australia v. Japan: New Zealand intervening. Theoretical part of the work deals with the history of the whaling industry, the International Whaling Commission and the International Convention on the Regulation of Whaling.
