Venture Philanthropy and the Big Four

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Venture Philanthropy a Velká čtyřka“ je identifikovat jednotlivé teoreticky vymezené prvky angažované filan-tropie v české praxi společenské odpovědnosti firem vybraného vý-zkumného vzorku a do jisté míry odlišit od sebe koncepty CSR, firemní filantropie a VP, která přejala nástroje venture kapitálu. Teoretická část se soustředí na vytvoření přehledu zkoumaných konceptů, směrem od nadřazeného CSR až k angažované filantropii, a na vymezení hlavních literárních zdrojů pojednávající o angažované filantropii. Práce vrcholí diskusí o zjištěných nedostatcích v praxi VP.

Abstract:

The goal of the diploma thesis: “Venture Philanthropy and The Big Four” aims to identify theoretically defined elements of venture philan-thropy in the Czech practice of CSR of a selected research sample and into some extent distinguish the concepts of CSR, corporate philan-thropy and VP, which adopted the tools of venture capital. The theoreti-cal part is focused on creating an overview of the concepts, beginning with the superior CSR to VP, and on the definition of the main literary sources discussing VP. The thesis culminates by discussing of the iden-tified shortcomings in the practice of VP.
