Ritual/Atmosphere of the surrounding

Abstract:

Jako téma bakalářské práce jsem si zvolila dekorativní osvětlení, které by bylo zároveň spojeno s rituálem a dotvářelo by atmosféru prostředí. Když jsem přemýšlela nad významem tohoto spojení, napadlo mě upustit od původního záměru využít jako zdroj světla elektřinu, vrátit se zpět "ke kořenům" a navrhnout osvětlení, které jako zdroje využije otevřený oheň. Zapálení je vlastně rituálem a jeho mihotavé světlo a případně i vůně by výrazně ovlivňovaly atmosféru prostředí nehledě na to, že oheň od počátku poskytoval lidem zdroj světla, tepla a bezpečí.

Abstract:

As maintopicoffinal work I have chosen decorative lighting which could be also connected with ritual and on theother hand, creating atmosphere of enviroment. When I was thinking about meaning of this connection, I had an idea to abandon the original intention of utilizing elektricity as the source oflight, return back " to theroots " and designedlighting, which is using open fire as a source. Setting on fire is actually ritual and its flickering light eventually connected with fragrance should distinctly affected atmosphere irrespective, that fire wasp roviding to people source of light, warmth since the beginning of time.
