Nuclear power engineering in Czech Republic and in the world from environmental and economic point of view

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou jaderné energetiky v České republice a ve světě. Hlavním tématem je vliv tohoto zdroje energie na životní prostředí. Úvodní část je věnována radioaktivitě, ionizujícímu záření a jeho vlivu na životní prostředí. Dále je vysvětlen princip jaderného štěpení a jeho využití jako zdroje energie. V dalších kapitolách se práce podrobněji zabývá těžbou a zpracováním uranové rudy v ČR i ve světě a výrobou jaderného paliva. Následující část popisuje principy jaderných elektráren a druhy jaderných reaktorů. Velká část je věnována problematice radioaktivních odpadů vznikajících z provozu jaderných elektráren a vyhořelého jaderného paliva. Následují kapitoly věnované jaderné bezpečnosti, ekonomickému hledisku. V závěru jsou shrnuty a zhodnoceny poznatky vyplývající z této práce.

Abstract:

Subjects of my bachelor's work deals with problematics of the nuclear power industry within the Czech Republic and in the world. The main target points to an influence of the energy source to the environment. The introduction part is devoted to radioactivity, ionizing X-rays and its influence to the environment. Furthermore, there is a principal of nuclear fission and usage of energy source explained. In following chapters the work occupies with details uranium raw ore mining and its proceedings in the Czech Republic, in the world and the production of nuclear fuel. The subsequent partion describes principals of nuclear power-plants and types of nuclear reactors. A big part of the work dedicates to the problematics of radioactive waste made by nuclear power-plants' production and burnt-off nuclear fuels. The nuclear safety, economical aspects and a conclusion are being considered in succeeding chapters. The conclusion summarizes and provides an assessment of findings flowing of this work.
