Cultural and social life of german minority in the Ústí nad Labem Region in 1950s and 1960s

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá kulturním a společenským životem německé menšiny v 50. a 60. letech na území Ústeckého kraje. Jednalo se o neodsunuté Němce po 2. světové válce především odborníky, antifašisty, smíšená manželství atd. Během 50. let se je KSČ snažila "získat pro stát" a asimilovat. Jejich kulturní a společenský život byl také pevně v rukou státu. Vznikly německé noviny Aufbau und Frieden, kočovné divadlo a zájmová uskupení atd. Během 50. let se postavení Němců zlepšovalo a v 60. letech byli konečně uznáni jako národnostní menšina. Organizace a kontrola Němců byla delegována na místní správní orgány, při kterých vznikaly tzv. koordinační komise pro národnostní menšiny,přičemž jejich působení v okrese Ústí nad Labem a Rumburku provázely mnohé společné jevy.V roce 1968 byly položeny základy kulturního sdružení německé menšiny tzv. Kulturvebandu. V následujících letech se o kulturní a společenský život minority staral především on.

Abstract:

Thesis is concerned with cultural and social life of the German minority in the region of Ústí nad Labem in 1950's and 1960's. It was a group of Germans, who were not evacuated from Czechoslovakia after the 2. World War specialists, antifascists, national mixed marriages etc. In the 50's the KSČ was used to "gain them for state", assimilate them and organize their culture and social life. The German newspaper Aufbau und Frieden and also theater were formed, in the whole republic arised groups of different hobbies. During the 50's the position of Germans got better and in the 60's they were finally accepted as a national minority. The organisation and control of Germans was delegated to local administrative bodies, which established coordination commissions for the national question. Their work in Ústí nad Labem and Rumburk surroundings was in many things similar. In 1968 originated Kulturverband culture german group. In next years the Kulturverband cared about cultural and social life of this minority in whole Czechoslovakia.
