Abstract:

Sbírka povídek Ilustrovaný muž je stále jednou z mých nejoblíbenějších knih. Tato kniha je souborem povídek, které spojuje společná myšlenka. Příběhy jsou velmi volně propojené a nemají mezi sebou žádnou zjevnou souvislost; jejich propojení přesahuje rámec skutečného námětu. Výjimkou jsou předmluva a závěr, jejichž děj se celou knihou vine jako červená nit. Dospěla jsem k rozhodnutí, že svými ilustracemi rozdělím tuto knihu na dvě části: náš svět a svět tetování. Náš svět je vícebarevný, jeho paleta není omezená, zatímco ve světě tetování existují omezení - převážně to jsou odstíny červené a zelené, které pak doplňují černá a bílá, jež jsou použity pro pomocné prvky a obrysy.

Abstract:

The Illustrated Man short story collection is still one of my favorite books. This book is a collection of short stories that share a common idea. The stories are very loosely interconnected and have no obvious connection; their interconnection goes beyond the actual subject. The exceptions are the preface and the conclusion, the plot of which goes like a red thread throughout the book. I decided to divide this book into two parts: our world and the world of tattoos. Our world is multicolored, its palette is not limited, whereas in the world of tattoos there are limitations - mostly shades of red and green complemented by black and white, which are used for auxiliary elements and contours.
