Grief and Posttraumatic Growth of Personality

Abstract:

V našem výzkumu se zabýváme otázkou procesu truchlení a posttraumatického růstu se zaměřením na ztrátu blízkého člověka. Zajímá nás, jaké procento respondentů truchlí komplikovaně a zda a jaký vztah je mezi komplikovaným truchlením a posttraumatickým růstem. Komplikovanost truchlení zjišťujeme za pomoci Inventáře komplikovaného truchlení a následný posttraumatický rozvoj zkoumáme pomocí Dotazníku posttraumatického růstu. Dále zjišťujeme, jaký vliv mají vybrané sociodemografické proměnné jako je pohlaví, věk respondenta, věk pozůstalého, náhlost smrti apod. na komplikované truchlení a na posttraumatických růst.

Abstract:

In our research we deal with the process of grieving and post-traumatic growth of personality, focusing on the loss of a loved one. We are interested in what percentage of respondents are grieving in complicated way and whether and what relationship does exist between complicated grief and post-traumatic growth. We measure the complicated grief with the Inventory of Complicated Grief and the subsequent post-traumatic development is examined by using the Posttraumatic Growth Inventory. We also investigate the influence of selected socio-demographic variables such as gender, age of respondent, age of survivor, sudden death etc. on complicated grief and post-traumatic growth.
