Tématem mé bakalářské práce je popis charakteru a smyslu existence božského idiota v dílech Fjodora Michajloviče Dostojevského - Idiot a Isaaca Bashevise Singera - Hlupák Gimpel. V první části své práce se snažím popsat koncept "božského idiota" v kontextu křesťanského a židovského prostředí. Abstract:

This thesis examines the character and purpose of the holy fool in Fyodor Dostoevsky's, The Idiot and I. B. Singer's, Gimpel The Fool. First the holy fool is depicted in his Christian and Jewish milieu. Then Myshkin and Gimpel are analyzed, compared, and contrasted in connection with this history.
