Cooperation in School-Family Relations in Primary Education from the Teachers´and Parents´Perspectives

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá spoluprací školy a rodiny na prvním stupni základní školy. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jak na vzájemnou spolupráci pohlíží rodiče a učitelé. V teoretické části jsou shrnuty poznatky o spolupráci mezi rodinou a školou, jsou tam popsány různé formy spolupráce a pojednává také o možných rizicích, která mohou při spolupráci mezi rodinou a školou nastat. Praktická část popisuje výzkumné šetření, které probíhalo formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s rodiči a učiteli žáků prvních tříd. Sesbíraná data byla analyzována metodou otevřeného kódování. Výzkumná zjištění poukazují na důležitost spolupráce mezi rodiči a učiteli žáků prvních tříd. Výsledky výzkumu odkrývají bariéry, které mohou při spolupráci nastat a také možnosti, jak mohou rodiče a učitelé vzájemnou spolupráci podpořit.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the cooperation of school and family in the first stage of primary school. The aim of the thesis was to find out how parents and teachers view mutual cooperation. The theoretical part summarizes the knowledge of cooperation between family and school, describes various forms of cooperation, and also discusses the potential risks that can arise in cooperation between family and school. The practical section describes the research investigation, that took the form of semi-structured interviews with parents and teachers of first-grade pupils. The collected data was analyzed using an open-coding method. The results of the research point to the importance of cooperation between parents and teachers of first-grade pupils. The research findings reveal the barriers that can arise during cooperation and the ways in which parents and teachers can support each other's cooperation.
