Anotácia:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá českým překladem a analýzou vybraných částí překladu dětské knihy britského autora Roalda Dahla s názvem Žirafa a Pelly a já. Práce se konkrétně zaměřuje na překlad přítomných neologismů, bezekvivalentní lexiky a říkanek. V analýze překladu neologismů a bezekvivalentní lexiky navrhuje konkrétní postupy překladu na základě informací dostupných v odborné literatuře. V části věnované analýze překladu říkanek vymezuje hlavní problematické oblasti, které vznikají při překladu anglické poezie do češtiny a současně nabízí řešení těchto problémů, které jsou v souladu se současnými trendy překladatelské teorie.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the Czech translation and analysis of selected parts of the translation of the children’s book The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me written by British author Roald Dahl. The thesis is specifically focused on the translation of neologisms, non-equivalent vocabulary and children’s rhymes included in the story. In the analysis of neologisms and non equivalent vocabulary are suggested some methods of translation based on findings in literature dealing with translation. An outline of problematic areas for the translation of English poetry into Czech is also provided, as well as solutions to these problems according to contemporary translation theories.
