Willingness to Organizational Citizenship Behavior depending on the management style and the social atmosphere of the organization

Abstract:

Tato práce má za cíl zjistit míru přítomnosti projevů Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) na daném pracovišti v souvislosti s potenciálním vlivem stylu vedení a sociální atmosféry v organizaci. Výzkum probíhal formou dotazníkového šetření v organizaci X. Ke sběru dat byly použity standardizované metody poskytnuté vedoucí práce. Styl vedení byl zjišťován pomocí dimenzí Charismatické chování, Inspirující motivace, Intelektuální stimulace a Osobní přístup dotazníkem transformačního stylu vedení. Pro posouzení stavu sociální atmosféry byla použita Škála sociálnej atmosféry v skupine a její dimenze Psychologická atmosféra, Mezilidské vztahy, Spolupráce a Sociální začleněnost. Ke zjištění míry OCB byl využit oficiální OCB check-list v upravené podobě odpovídající potřebám práce. Data byla shrnuta a vyhodnocena pomocí popisné statistiky a jednotlivé vztahy pomocí Pearsonova korelačního koeficientu a p-hodnoty. Z výzkumu vyplývá, že OCB je ovlivňováno zejména sociální atmosférou v organizaci, kde největší vliv má dimenze Psychologická atmosféra. Nejvýznamnější fakta byla poskytnuta vedení organizace X.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the presence of the Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in the workplace in relation to the potential influence of leadership style and social atmosphere in the organization. The research was carried out in the form of a survey questionnaire in the organization X. Standardized methods provided by the supervisor of this thesis were used for data collection. Leadership style was measured using the dimensions of Charismatic Behavior, Inspiring Motivation, Intellectual Stimulation, and Personal Approach through a Leadership Transformation Style Questionnaire. The Social Atmosphere Scale in the group and its dimensions, namely Psychological Atmosphere, Interpersonal Relations, Cooperation and Social Inclusion, were used to assess the state of the social atmosphere. OCB's official OCB check-list was modified in order to meet the needs of the work. The obtained data were summarized and evaluated using descriptive statistics and individual relationships were evaluated using Pearson correlation coefficient and p-value. The performed research shows that OCB is influenced mainly by social atmosphere in the organization, where the dimension Psychological atmosphere has the greatest influence. The most important facts were provided to the management of the organization X.
