The Role of Music in the Civil Rights Movement in the 1950s and 1960s
Abstract:
Práce se zabývá rolí hudby v Hnutí za lidská práva ve Spojených státech amerických v 50. a 60. letech 20. století. Studie se zaměřuje na teorii nových sociálních hnutí a snaží se analyzovat hudbu a její roli v mobilizačních a komunikačních strukturách. Rovněž se snaží analyzovat hudbu jako prvek, jež se významně podílel na tvorbě kolektivní identity aktérů hnutí.

In the bachelor thesis the role of music in the Civil Rights Movement in the United States in the 50s and 60s in the 20th century goes under examination. The study focuses on the theory of new social movements and analyzes the music and its role within the structures of mobilization and communication.
