The Young and Infidelity

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem mé práce bylo zjištění faktorů, které ovlivňují mládež v postojích k nevěře a osobních zkušenostech s nevěrou. Z větší části je ověřována platnost faktorů, jenž jsou vyvozeny ze závěrů výzkumů zkoumajících sexualitu dospělých respondentů. V teoretické části se zabývám nevěrou jako konceptem sociální deviace, představuji hlavní kategorie nevěry, její možná vysvětlení a teoretická východiska pro empirickou část. V té pomocí sekundární analýzy dat z výzkumu Mládaž a AIDS 1997/2004 testuji hypotézy o vztahu mezi rodinným prostředím, resp. biografií respondenta, a jeho postoji a zkušenostmi s nevěrou. Nejsilnější korelace existuje mezi postoji okolí a postoji respondenta. Největší vliv na věrnost má počet sexuálních partnerů. Naopak velmi slabá korelace se projevila vlivu religiozity na postoje respondenta i na jeho zkušenosti s nevěrou. Zajímavým zjištěním je větší tolerantnost dívek než chlapců k nevěře v roce 2004 a rozdílnost mezi postoji a chováním nevěrných taktéž v roce 2004.

Abstract:

The main goal of my thesis was to determine factors which influence the youth in their attitudes toward adultery and their personal experience with adultery. The major part of the thesis is based on verification of the factors which are deduced from conclusions of researches examining sexuality of adult respondents. The theoretical part is focused on adultery as a social deviation concept; then I introduce main categories of adultery, its possible explanation and theoretical basis for the empirical part of the thesis. In this part, I prove hypotheses about the relationship between family environment, or more precisely biography of a respondent, his/her attitudes and experience with adultery; this is proved by means of secondary analysis of data from research Youth and AIDS (Mládež a AIDS) 1997/2004. The strongest correlation exists between attitudes of the respondents environment and the respondents own attitudes. Fidelity is influenced mainly by the number of sexual partners. On the contrary, the weakest correlation was proved in the influence of religion on the respondents attitudes and his/her experience with adultery. Interestingly, girls attitudes toward adultery were more tolerant than these of boys in 2004, and also, there were proven differences between attitudes toward adultery and behaviour of these who were deceiving (2004).
