Game industry in Czechia: spatial analysis

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá rozmístěním herního průmyslu jako součástí kreativních odvětví v rámci měst a obcí v Česku v kontextu znalostních bází na různých prostorových úrovních. Data za zaměstnanost a rozmístění jsou aktuální pro rok 2022, přičemž aktuálnost vzorku herních subjektů odpovídá roku 2021. Rozmístění herního průmyslu bylo určeno pomocí metody geokódování a byly zjišťovány lokalizační preference. Bylo zjištěno, že sledované subjekty mají tendenci se koncentrovat do velkých měst, přičemž v rámci nich jsou koncentrovány především do oblasti vnitřních měst.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the distribution of the game industry as part of the creative industries within cities and municipalities in Czechia in the context of knowledge bases at different spatial levels. The data for employment and distribution are current for the year 2022, while the actuality of the sample of game subjects corresponds to the year 2021. The distribution of the game industry was determined using the geocoding method and localization preferences were determined. It was found that the monitored subjects tend to concentrate in large cities, while within them they are concentrated mainly in the area of inner cities.
