Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměří na analýzu vybraných periodik vycházejících v letech těsně před koncem komunistického režimu v roce 1989 až do rozpadu Československa v roce 1992. V první části se práce zaměří nejprve na stručnou historii soužití Čechů a Slováků v jednom státě od vzniku federace v roce 1969 do roku 1989 a příčiny pádu komunistického režimu. V druhé části se soustředí na diskurzivní analýzu vybraných celostátních i regionálních periodik, jejich stručnou historii či obecně obsahovou náplň, a to Rudého práva, Svobodného slova, Mladé fronty/Mladé fronty DNES a slovenského deníku Pravda v době od 17. listopadu 1989 až do konce roku 1992. Diskurzivní analýza periodik má za úkol stručně popsat mediální obraz společnosti, názory a témata, které jednotlivá periodika publikovala. Soustředí se na vymezený časový úsek, ve kterém byly zprávy publikovány. Bude zkoumat kvalitativní i kvantitativní parametry a také formální obsahové parametry jednotlivých zpráv. Závěrečná kapitola se zaměří na mediální analýzu vybraných periodik v době voleb do Federálního shromáždění v roce 1992. Výsledkem práce je rekonstrukce mediálního obrazu československé společnosti pomocí diskurzivní analýzy tiskovin během posledních tří let existence Československa a pochopit, jakým způsobem se změnily vztahy mezi Čechy a Slováky po pádu komunistického režimu a jaký vliv měly spory mezi nimi na následný rozpad republiky.

Abstract:

The thesis will focus on the analysis of selected periodicals published in the years just before the end of the communist regime in 1989 until the collapse of Czechoslovakia in 1992. In the first part, the thesis will first focus on a brief history of the coexistence of Czechs and Slovaks in one state from the formation of the federation in 1969 to 1989 and the reasons for the fall of the communist regime. In the second part, it will focus on a discursive analysis of selected national and regional periodicals, their brief history or general content, namely Rudy Pravda, Svobodny Slovo, Mladá fronta/Mladá fronta DNES and the Slovak daily Pravda from 17 November 1989 to the end of 1992. The discursive analysis of the periodicals is intended to briefly describe the media image of society, the opinions and themes published by the individual periodicals. It focuses on the defined time period in which the news was published. It will examine the qualitative and quantitative parameters as well as the formal content of each report. The final chapter will focus on the media analysis of selected periodicals during the 1992 Federal Assembly elections. As a result, the thesis aims to reconstruct the media image of Czechoslovak society through a discursive analysis of print media during the last three years of Czechoslovakia's existence and to understand how relations between Czechs and Slovaks changed after the fall of the communist regime and what influence the disputes between them had on the subsequent disintegration of the republic.
