The standpoint of the Ostrava Citizens towards the religous association of witnesses of Yahveh

Abstract:

Činnost církví a náboženských společností ovlivňuje a zasahuje do života obyvatel České republiky. Členové Náboženské Společnosti Svědkové Jehovovi při své činnosti, každodenně oslovují a vedou rozhovory s občany. Při těchto rozhovorech se snaží přesvědčit o pravdivosti svého učení a tím získat nové členy pro náboženskou společnost. Ne všem občanům je tato forma a způsob jejich činnosti příjemná a každý jedinec zaujímá k tomuto svůj vlastní postoj. V této diplomové práci pojednávám o současné právní úpravě a postavením náboženských společností a církví v České republice. Následuje historie Svědků Jehovových, ve stručnosti jejich učení a ideologie. Věnuji se objasnění pojmu sekta a postoj. V praktické části se snažím zjistit a vyhodnotit, jak je na činnost Svědků Jehovových nahlíženo obyvateli části Ostravy. Stěžejní částí práce je výzkum, zaměřený na zjištění postojů, které zaujímají občané městské části Ostravy k této náboženské společnosti.

Abstract:

Activity of churches and religious societies affect and interfere with the life of the Czech population. Members of the Religious Society of Jehovah's Witnesses in their work, appeal to every day and interviews with leading citizens. During these conversations, trying to persuade about the veracity of his teachings, and thus obtain new members for the religious society. Not all citizens of this form and the way their activities and each individual occupies to this their own position. In this thesis I discuss the current legislation and the status of religious communities and churches in the Czech Republic. Following is the history of Jehovah's Witnesses, in short their learning and ideology. I pay attention to clarification of the concept of sect and position. In the practical part I try to find out and to evaluate how the activities of Jehovah's Witnesses are viewed inhabitants, part of Ostrava. The main part of the work is research aimed at finding positions that they occupy, the citizens of the city of Ostrava to this religious society.
