Copy number variants (CNV) and their meaning in medical genetics
Abstract:
V roce 2004 byla vědci objevena nová forma strukturní variability lidského genomu. Segmenty DNA o velikosti 1 kb až několika Mb, které byly v genomu pravděpodobně zdravých jedinců objeveny ve variabilním počtu kopií (copy number variation, CNV), dnes tvoří asi 12 % lidského genomu. Abstract:
In 2004 new form of structural variation in human genome was described. DNA segments ranging from 1 kb to several Mb which were found in variable copy number (copy number variation, CNV) between apparently healthy individuals are nowadays (2011) supposed to make up for 12 % of human genome.
