Charges, effectiveness and economy in waste management in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Efektivnost poplatků v odpadovém hospodářství v ČR“ se věnuje problematice stanovení plateb za komunální odpad se zaměřením na možné použití motivačních plateb a jejich vliv na environmentální efektivnost a hospodárnost. V prvé řadě poskytuje teoretické ukotvení motivačních systémů plateb, vymezuje metodiku měření jejich efektivnosti, přináší také výsledky některých tuzemských a zahraničních studií. Následuje případová studie Jihomoravského kraje, kdy je zpracována analýza environmentální efektivnosti a analýza administrativních nákladů vybraného vzorku obcí.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis „Charges, effectiveness and economy in waste management in the Czech Republic“ deals with the issue of determination of charges for municipal waste focusing on use of incentive charges and their impact on environmental effectiveness and economy. Firstly the thesis provides theoretical background of incentive charging systems, defines metodology of evaluating their efficiency and brings results of some domestic and foreign studies. The following part is focused on the case study on South Moravian region, in which the analysis of environmental effectiveness and analysis of administrative costs for selected municipalities are processed.
