Magisterská práca sa zaoberá úlohou a geopolitickým pôsobením Veľkej Británie po 2. svetovej vojne. V minulosti bola kľúčovým hráčom a udržiavala rovnováhu síl v medzinárodných vzťahoch pomocou diplomacie. Po skončení 2. svetovej vojny patrila medzi troch najvýznamnejších aktérov medzinárodnej politiky.
