Tato práce se zaměřuje na žánr koncertní předehry, a to předevšímna ty autory, kteří se jako první zabývali její tvorbou a přispěli tak k jejímurozvoji. Úvodní část práce utváří ucelený přehled o vývoji koncertní předehryjako samostatné skladby, a to od dob jejího vzniku v období ranéhoromantismu až po autory 20. století.
