Error Correction in Teenagers' Written Discourse

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá chybami teenagerů z druhého stupně základních škol, především jejich klasifikací do jednotlivých jednotlivých oblastí (chyby v hláskování, časové chyby, chyby v pořádku slov atd.) a také jejich možnými příčinami jako jsou vliv mateřského jazyka, příliš široké zobecnění pravidel, neznalost jazykových omezení a neúplné uplatnění pravidel. Teoretická část je zaměřená na teenagery, na opravování chyb u teenagerů druhého stupně základních škol, stejně jako na rozdělení chyb a druhy zpětných vazeb. Praktická část představuje jak kvantitativní, tak kvalitativní analýzu písemných prací šedesáti-dvou žáků druhého stupně základní školy. Výsledky ukazují oblasti, ve kterých teenageři chybují nejčastěji a navíc i jejich výše zmíněné příčiny.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with errors and mistakes made by lower-secondary teenagers, especially with their classification into the individual areas (spelling mistakes, tense mistakes, word-order mistakes, etc.) and with the possible causes of these errors and mistakes, comprising impact of mother tongue, overgeneralization, ignorance of rule restriction and incomplete application of rules. The theoretical part is focused on teenagers and error correction by lower-secondary teenagers as well as classification of errors and various types of feedback. The empirical part present quantitative and qualitative analysis of written assignments of sixty-two lower-secondary teenagers. The results show the areas in which the teenagers make errors and mistakes the most frequently due to the aforementioned causes.
