Urban Transport and Its Externalities - Application

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Městská doprava a její externality – Praktická aplikace“ je analýza externalit z městské dopravy na konkrétních příkladech ve městě Brně. V první části je uveden historický vývoj dopravních proudů ve městě a výčet kritických míst dle jednotlivých druhů dopravy po městě. V další části práce je věnována pozornost problematice dopravy v klidu, v centrální části města a v okolí pěší zóny. Je zde zhodnocen záměr výstavby sítě parkovacích domů a navrženo několik alternativních řešení městské dopravy. V poslední části je pomocí CBA analýzy vyhodnoceno řešení nedostatků parkovacích míst pomocí výstavby menších parkovacích domů k dlouhodobému pronájmu pro místní obyvatele. Pozornost je věnována i příkladům ze zahraničí.

Abstract:

The goal of the submitted thesis: "City transport and its externalities - application" is analysis of externalities of urban transport using real world examples of city Brno. The thesis also includes examples from abroad. The first part of the thesis describes historical development of traffic streams of the city and lists critical places according to kinds of transport. The following part of the thesis is focused on issues connected with parking and transport in the central part of the city and around pedestrian areas. This part also contains evaluation of project of evaluation of construction parking garage's network and alternative solutions for the project are suggested. Last part of the paper is dedicated to CBA analysis which evaluates solution of lack of parking spaces by constructing small parking garage that would be offered for long-term rental to the locals.
