Russian themes in the repertoire of Ostrava theatres

Abstract:

The present bachelor thesis deals with the themes of Russian works in the repertoire of Ostrava theatres. The first part is devoted to the description of Ostrava theatres and their history. The National Moravian-Silesian Theatre, The Peter Bezruč Theatre, The Arena Chamber Stage, The Peace Theatre and The Old Arena are presented. The second part focuses on the work of Ostrava's theatres with Russian themes and Russian works, from 2013 to 2023. The premieres of works inspired by Russian authors are described for all selected Ostrava theatres in the selected period. Attention is paid to the biography of the Russian authors, the story of the play, which theatres have used the work, and whether it has been performed repeatedly. Using several criteria, the most successful works by Russian authors in the repertoire of Ostrava theatres are then defined.

Abstract:

Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá tématy ruských děl v repertoáru ostravských divadel. První části je věnována popisu ostravských divadel a jejich historii. Představena jsou Národní divadlo moravskoslezské, Divadlo Petra Bezruče, Komorní scéna Aréna, Divadlo Mír a Stará Aréna. Druhá část je zaměřena na práci ostravských divadel s ruskými tématy a ruskými díly, a to v letech 2013-2023. V rámci všech vybraných ostravských divadel jsou popsané premiéry děl inspirované ruskými autory, a to ve vybraném období. Pozornost je věnována biografii ruských autorů, příběhu hry, která divadla toto dílo využilo, a zda bylo realizováno opakovaně. Pomocí několika kritérií jsou následně definována nejúspěšnější díla ruských autorů v repertoáru ostravských divadel.
